Hi, this is a comm for keeping track of flash exchanges! A flash exchange is a gift exchange done very quickly — typically less than a week for nominations, sign ups, posting, and anon period. This comm was made partially to help organize and track flash exchanges beyond the capbilities of Exchanges After Dark's pinned posts, but also because there are a lot of flash exchanges that could benefit from a comm to post to without having to make a comm of their own.
Anyone who's a member can post to this comm and anyone who wants to be a member can join.

What can we post?
Currently, I expect there to be these kinds of posts:
- announcements about current flash exchanges, including rules posts, nominations, collection openings, etc.
- informative posts about past or future flash exchanges
- pinch hits for flash exchanges, especially ones that weren't picked up by discord or which are still outstanding after a flash exchange has ended
- discussion or brainstorming posts for flash exchange related topics/questions/concerns
How should we post?
In general:
- Please title your posts.
- We don't currently have a tagging system! However, you should feel free to add tags you think are helpful.
- As of right now, there are no restrictions on how often anyone can post so long as each of your new posts has new, important information.
Posting about a flash exchange that has already happened:
- Backdate your post to the appropriate time. This won't reorder the comm posts, but it will make sure past flash exchanges show up in the right spot on the comm's calendar.
- Include relevant links such as to the collection, the tagset, any public spreadsheets, etc.
- Include the schedule the exchange ran on as well as other basic information about the premise of the exchange.
- Feel free to include any other information you want! EG, stats — how many people created how many works?
