Original Works Flash or Original Characters Flash?

I plan on running a flash exchange the weekend of Friday, April 17, but I can't make up my mind about what kind to do, so I thought I'd ask here.

Option 1: Original works only, matching on relationships.
Option 2: Original characters, including Original Character/Canon Character, Original Character & Canon Character, Original Character in Canon Setting, and Original Character in Original Work.

#1 is more straightforward, but has narrower appeal. #2 is broader, but could end up producing some very niche pinch hits. Lmk what you think in the comments

I'd prefer option 2!

I think you might gain more participation with option 2, which isn't to say that 1 wouldn't be awesome.

Option 2!

I unhelpfully think either would be brilliant, but maybe number two for more options :)

Would you have to request other fandoms for #2 or would all requests being original work be acceptable?

Also for #2, would original work just be solo characters as in the example or would / and & relationships be used, too?

Are you allowing DNWs?

Personally I'd have more fun with an all OW flash, but the second option will probably appeal to more people.

I would prefer option one, but either would be great and I think you'd get more response with option two.

I’m way more interested in option 1! Probably would skip option 2 unless it was possible to do an all-original signup.

I'm here for option 1, honestly.

I'd vote for original work, as it leaves more freedom to adressing various themes.

Option 2

I'm more interested in option 1, but I'd sign up for either. For option 2, I think it'd probably be easier if you allowed people to only sign up for original works (without canon characters or canon setting) if they wanted to?
