Grief/Mourning Flash Exchange: July 3, 2021 - July 31, 2021

This is a low-pressure multifandom flash exchange with a Grief/Mourning theme. That does not mean this is a flash specifically about characters dying (but of course, characters dying is on the menu!). Mourning can be the loss of: a loved one, a pet, an object, a character's sense of self, of time, of their past, and more. Grief isn't exclusively or necessarily expressed as sadness, it can be anger, numbness, risk taking, survivors living life to its fullest, etc.

Given the exchange theme, and fandom matching, we're relying on good faith from everyone. As a recipient, please make your requests in a spirit of openness, bearing in mind that for this exchange you are opting into someone else's interpretation of grief/mourning. As a creator, the aim is to create something you think your recipient might enjoy. Additional details are optional. How strict are you on the "three fandoms minimum" thing? Like if I have a fandom that has several subfandoms and various continuities, could I request three or four different continuities?

I get that this would raise the risk of not getting a gift, but I don't mind that.

Sub fandoms are definitely allowed!

If it’s something not canonical or something you think might be confusing, let me know so I can approve without questions.

But yeah, all the Marvel movies or Final Fantasy games or individual comic runs are allowed.

Thanks! It's various Batman things, all already canonical on AO3, so there shouldn't be anything confusing hopefully.

Can I list as one of my character/ship DNWs - Character/Any?

Yes. If you DNW a particular character in a romantic relationship, you can use a DNW Character/Any. That means the character is still fair game to appear in the fic for & ships, being a background character, or being the source of the grief. If you don't want that, you need to DNW the Character in their entirety.
