Heyo! I think a mistake was made in approving a nomination. Rurouni Kenshin, Hiko Seijuurou is 43 and Himura Kenshin is 28 at the start of the series.

The Wiki dates have some major inconsistencies. The series starts in February 1878, and if Hiko were born in 1836, that would make him 42, in October of 1878. Hiko states himself in Chapter 85 that he is 43, and it is sometime after May 14th of 1878, which means he would only be 41 at that given time. Here's the manga page with Hiko giving his age: https://cm.blazefast.co/9b/5e/9b5e1f3a4e5fe19b2b1e041ca972c577.jpg

The mangaka has stated Kenshin's age is 28, the Wiki reflects that, as the series starts before his birthday in June and the series begins in roughly February of 1878. In the Kenshin Wiki, 4th paragraph under Development and Reception, his age is stated by the mangaka to be 28. The Wiki dates have given me many headaches over the years, as they just don't add up with the stated ages of characters, it's frustrating.
